The people of Danzan Ryu are truly special. To join a DZR dojo is to become a member of the DZR O’hana, or family of Danzan students. There are Danzan schools from coast to coast, all working to cultivate the same positive character that sets DZR apart from most every other style of martial art. Opportunities to train and socialize with talented, caring people are important and plentiful.
The Danzan culture is based on the original teachings of Master Seishiro Okazaki (click here for a history). He believed in the health benefits of Aloha, Kokua and O’hana. Hawaiian principles that pertain to the study of this predominately Japanese art form. Learn more here.
Seminars.
The American Judo & Jujitsu Federation or AJJF, supports and sanctions over 100 seminars and clinics each year. Participation in these types of high-level training classes makes a large impact on your overall education and practice. Click here for some photos.
